Chest carcase Top is constructed using a 30mm solid ash frame with exposed mortice and tennon jointing into which is inset a 18mm ash veneer faced plywood panel. 15mm MDF side panels & solid birch frame.
Carcase assembly fittings metal cam and dowels, wood dowels,screws, panel pins.
Chest drawers 15mm painted MDF fronts, 12mm solid Palomia drawer sides & 5mm plywood baseboard.
Drawer runners solid hardwood.
Drawer assembly fittings wood screws & natural Ash handles.
External finish A balancing stain is applied by hand to even out the natural wood variation's, this is followed by a coat of tinted lacquer. A final hand sanding process is followed by a finishing coat of tinted lacquer.
Paint A base coat is applied to seal the board, this is followed by a fine sanding by hand and a further 2 coats off Old English White Matt spirit based paint. All paints used meet UK legislative requirements
