Every bedroom should have at least one wardrobe
Big, brash, bold and in your face or a French flight of fancy, whatever style you want, there will be a wardrobe to fit the bill and your room perfectly. Long gone are the days when the must have thing in the bedroom was a huge wall of fitted wardrobes. People today are turning more and more to freestanding bedroom furniture rather than fitted. The added advantage other than looks is that with a freestanding wardrobe you can take it with you when you move home. Every bedroom should have at least one wardrobe. Storage space in a bedroom is crucial and the storage capacity you get with a wardrobe is huge.
You may think that a wardrobe is just a wardrobe, but it simply isn’t just that. A beautiful solid wood wardrobe would look absolutely fantastic in any room, or what about a gorgeously stunning Venetian mirrored glass wardrobe (yes please!). Wardrobes are fantastic playthings for children, girls can play dress up from them with mum’s clothes and shoes and boys can transform a simple wardrobe into a spaceship or even Dr Who’s tardis. In our adult world a wardrobe is the place we store all our clothes and precious items, but the imagination of a child elevates the wardrobe to many different uses. Don’t forget that classic tale of Narnia or otherwise known as The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe!
One wardrobe is a necessity and even two may be necessary. The thing about wardrobes is they come in so many shapes and sizes that you can get one to fit in the smallest of spaces or fill up nearly a whole wall in your bedroom. Mirrored or wood, glass or combinations of all, will look great and give you that much needed storage space. Wardrobes allow us to keep our rooms clutter free. A clutter free bedroom is said to aid sleep, so the humble wardrobe is also a sleep aid, it’s just a shame we can’t get them on prescription!
